About me

Music has been my passion for as long as I can remember.

I grew up learning to play many instruments; eventually becoming serious when I started playing the drums. I began my percussion studies at The Bloomingdale School of Music leading to my acceptance into New York City’s premier performing Arts high school, LaGuardia School for Music, Art, and the Performing Arts. I continued to pursue percussion as an undergraduate at McGill University's Schulich School of Music where I studied under percussion masters Aiyun Huang and Fabrice Marandola; ultimately earning a bachelor's degree in percussion performance.

While an undergrad, I began to make and perform electronic music under the moniker Sherrboy. The hours I spent working in DAWs and collaborating with other musicians began a new passion for me, music production. I chose to pursue this passion in graduate school, attending McGill's prestigious Sound Recording program. Under the instruction of industry legends Wieslaw Woszczyk, Martha DeFrancisco, Richard King, and George Massenburg, I honed my skills in studio production and audio engineering.

Since graduating I worked as a freelance audio engineer in producer in Montreal, Quebec. There I cut my teeth working in studios such as Studio Fast Forward, Studio Pierre Marchand, and Studio Karisma in addition to working independently with many clients out of my home studio. In December of 2020 I moved back to NYC, where I am currently located and working at studios including Sear Sound in Manhattan and Atomic Sound in Brooklyn.
